CCTV Installation

Professional CCTV system design and installation across England. Axis, Dahua, Hikvision, and Milestone platforms, single cameras to multi-site networks. Free survey, no obligation.

CCTV Installation: from single-camera retrofits to enterprise multi-site networks

SEG Ltd specialises in commercial CCTV installation across England, designing, supplying, and fitting surveillance systems for offices, warehouses, retail premises, schools, hotels, and multi-site portfolios. Every installation starts with a free site survey: our engineers walk the property with you, identify blind spots, recommend camera positions for maximum useful coverage, and produce a clear written quote that covers cameras, recording equipment, cabling, network configuration, and labour. No subscription traps, no surprise extras.

We install two distinct CCTV platforms depending on your needs. For sites that require advanced analytics, central management of multiple buildings, or integration with access control and intruder alarms, we install Axis IP cameras managed through Milestone XProtect, an open-platform enterprise VMS used by airports, councils, and critical infrastructure. For sites where a reliable all-in-one solution is the right fit, we install Dahua and Hikvision camera and NVR kits, delivering HD or 4K coverage with the manufacturer's mobile app for remote viewing, at a price point that suits small and mid-sized businesses.

Our installations are fully cabled (no wireless cameras outside specific edge cases), neatly run in trunking or containment where exposed, and commissioned end-to-end. We hand over with documentation, user training, and the option to enrol in our maintenance programme. Whether you're replacing a tired analogue DVR system, adding a new building to an existing VMS, or starting from scratch, we'll size the system properly the first time.

How a CCTV installation works

1. Survey

An engineer attends site at a time that suits you. We walk the building, discuss what you want covered, propose camera positions, and confirm cable routes. You receive a written quote within a few working days.

2. Installation

Typical installations take one or two days depending on site size and cable complexity. We work around your operations and tidy as we go. External cabling is run in trunking or containment for a professional finish.

3. Handover

Once installed, we commission the system end-to-end, set up your user accounts, install the mobile app on your devices, and walk you through everything. You get documentation, warranty details, and our support number.

Frequently asked questions

Small installations of four to eight cameras with a single NVR are usually completed in a single day. Larger systems, 16+ cameras, multiple buildings, or sites needing extensive cabling, take two or three days. We confirm timescales in your quote so there are no surprises.

For new installations we strongly recommend IP CCTV, better resolution, easier scaling, and proper remote-access support. Analogue HD is occasionally appropriate when reusing existing coax cabling in a small site, but the price gap to IP is now minimal.

Most commercial sites store 30 days of footage at full resolution and frame rate. Higher-risk environments or sites with regulatory requirements may keep 60 or 90 days. We size the NVR drives during the survey based on camera count, resolution, and retention period.

Yes, every installation includes remote viewing setup. Dahua and Hikvision systems use the manufacturer's free mobile app (DMSS or HiK-Connect). Milestone systems use the XProtect Mobile app. All support live view, playback, and footage export.

Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts covering camera cleaning, firmware updates, NVR health checks, motion-detection verification, and reactive callouts. Recommended for systems supporting business operations or compliance requirements.
