Emergency Ajax Alarm Repair

Same-day Ajax alarm fault response across England. Hub offline, persistent false alarms, sensors disconnected, photo verification failing — authorised Ajax installer with PRO-app access for remote diagnostics.

Emergency Ajax response: authorised installer with PRO-app remote diagnostics

When an Ajax alarm system fails urgently — the hub has gone offline (no notification reaches your phone if there's an actual intrusion), repeated false alarms are causing genuine operational disruption, multiple sensors have lost connection at once, or photo verification has stopped working — SEG Ltd provides emergency Ajax response across England. As an authorised Ajax installer we have full Ajax PRO app access, which means we can remotely inspect your hub's status, signal strengths per device, battery levels, and event logs as soon as you grant us PRO access.

A surprisingly large share of Ajax emergencies resolve remotely without anyone attending. Hub-offline is almost always a router/internet path issue at the local network (DNS, firewall, DHCP, ISP downtime) — fixable by reviewing the connection without site attendance. False alarms can often be resolved by remotely re-tuning sensor sensitivity. Sensors-disconnected events sometimes resolve by re-pairing the device from the PRO app. Photo verification not working is usually a hub cellular-bandwidth or signal issue that can be diagnosed from the PRO app's connection-quality data.

For physical emergencies needing attendance we dispatch with Ajax stock — MotionProtect and MotionCam PIRs, DoorProtect contacts, KeyPad TouchScreen, Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus replacements, and genuine Ajax batteries. Most Ajax repairs complete in a single visit. Contact us or call 0330 133 9801.

Common urgent Ajax faults

Hub offline

The most serious Ajax fault because notifications and ARC signalling stop. Almost always a local internet/router issue, occasionally a hub hardware fault or expired cellular SIM. Diagnosable remotely in minutes once we have PRO access.

Repeated false alarms

Usually PIR sensitivity (pets, draughts, sunlight on the sensor), glass-break false triggers, or DoorProtect contact misalignment. Often re-tunable remotely; occasionally needs sensor reposition or replacement.

Multiple sensors offline simultaneously

Hub-side issue (radio module fault, firmware issue, signal interference). We check signal strength per device via PRO, identify pattern, and resolve at the hub.

MotionCam photos not sending

Hub cellular bandwidth, weak cellular signal, or device pairing issue. PRO app shows the upload-quality metric per MotionCam; we diagnose from that.

App users not receiving notifications

App permission, user invite expired, hub-to-cloud connection. Usually fixable in the PRO app remotely without a callout.

System won't arm / disarm

User permissions, group configuration, or a stuck "open" sensor (commonly a door contact misaligned). PRO app diagnostics narrow it down quickly.

How an emergency Ajax call works

1. Grant PRO access

If you're already an Ajax customer of ours we have PRO access. If not, you invite us as a PRO engineer from the Ajax app — takes thirty seconds. We start diagnostics immediately.

2. Remote first

Many Ajax issues resolve remotely — saving the callout entirely. Hub-offline diagnosis, software-side false alarms, user/permission issues, MotionCam configuration.

3. Site visit if needed

Physical replacements, dead batteries (genuine Ajax cells), or signal-strength issues needing hub reposition. Same-day where engineer availability permits.

Emergency Ajax FAQs

Ajax supports a formal installer-transfer process. We can take over your hub by either having the previous installer release it to us or, if they're unreachable, by resetting and re-pairing the system while retaining all your sensors. Either way you end up fully supported by us.

It means notifications haven't been reaching your phone or the ARC. Local sirens may still trigger if the hub re-establishes signalling, but the cloud reporting is broken. The system is functionally compromised until the hub comes back online — call us urgently.

Yes — generic CR123A cells have had reported issues in MotionCam devices (premature low-battery warnings, occasional non-recognition). We use genuine Ajax-supplied cells where the manufacturer specifies them.

Yes — if you don't currently have ARC monitoring but want it added during this emergency engagement, we can configure Ajax to signal to a partner ARC (Contact ID or SIA-over-IP). The ARC service itself is a separate ongoing subscription you'd hold directly with the ARC.
